Atlanta police said they responded to a call about a person shot at Street Execs on Friday night and found several people fleeing from the studio when they arrived. Officers later learned that a person, later identified as White, was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound and had died around midnight, police said.

The department's homicide unit and the state Department of Homeland Security are investigating, but have not named a suspect.

NBC affiliate WXIA reported that people who live near Street Execs have said the studio attracts violence. The studio did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.
